Living as an islander was never really a bad idea since the beginning.
It was that time, in a one fine Sunday afternoon when my friend asked whether I wanted to join them going to Melasti Beach. Since it was the beach I have never payed a visit, it didn't take me seconds for me to actually nod my head and tell them I'm in.
Fortunate for us, the beach wasn't located far from where we based. Or maybe luckily, we based near beach, which makes us don't have to take long to get to do such beach hopping one by one whenever we wanted to do so. I thought Melasti Beach would be one like Balangan Beach, where it has two different spots for us to enjoy the beach. Turned out, Melasti Beach was kind of more like Pandawa Beach but more..... coral reef-y one? lol
Honestly, I don't really get how our nature works. But that evening when we went there, the waves were very receding. The beach floor was all over the beach, making the waves so far away. There were so many coral reefs, and we had to walk through it to come near to the waves. The waves was big enough, and I think it was that kind of perfect waves for surfers. Too bad the beach floor were reefs - not that smooth beach sand. It might get you injured if you happened to slip and crash there.
The beach was veeery long, the track was quite long for me at the first time. But since you could admire the pretty scenery while walking down the track, it was indeed worth the sweat. There were also natural ponds filled by water, left by the receding waves that trapped between the reefs. But it was located at the end of the beach, so the walk was quite a walk. I didn't bring any change clothes because I didn't intend to get into the water at the first place, but seeing my friends enjoyed the water did make me quite envious though, hha.
The view when the sun started to set, tough. The ocean and the sky never fail to flaunt leaving an awe for us. Those purple skies that never fails in making me fall in love with the nature and its Creator all over again. Alhamdulillah. Believe me when I said these are unedited photos, because what. Nobody got time for that, besides I just wanted to share this all without being too hard on myself by spending hours only to edit the photos one by one :'')
Hope one day you got to see this kind of beauty by your own eyes.
