Serene Fawn: A Day Trip to Nusa Penida

I have always wanted to visit Nusa Penida since the first time I lived in Bali. Nusa Penida located in different island from Bali but still located in Bali Island territory. Nusa Penida Island is much more smaller than Bali island, it only took half a day to actually circling around the island using motorcycle.

Me and my friend always been wanting to go to Nusa Penida but we were like totally got no clue how, we once decided whether we wanted to book a tour or joining an open trip. Lucky us, one of our new friend got friends who's willing to visit Nusa Penida again that time, and gladly they invited us. I mean its nice to finally go to new places with people who has already been there so they can lead us the way, right. We don't have to book a tour or even go in search of the itinerary by our own selves haha. Too bad my lack of curiosity of this island has caused me to.... literally got no idea about how having a trip in this island seemed like :')

We departed from Sanur Beach Harbour, after we did confuse ourselves in deciding whether to depart from which harbour because of our lack of information and lot of sotoyness haha :'') It cost us Rp200k per person for us locals for round-trip speed boat ride. It took only 30 - 45 mins from Sanur Beach to Banjar Nyuh Harbour in Nusa Penida. I thought the beach already near the harbour when we arrived in Nusa Penida, turned out we still had to rent motorcycle as our accommodation when in this island. It cost us Rp75k per motorcycle for one-day rent.

Our first stop was this beautiful beach called Atuh Beach. The scenery along the way was already breath-taking, and indeed relaxing. Never in history, no mankind could resist such beauty of nature. The never ending blue colors you see where the ocean meets the sky. The color of green when our motorcycle started to get through uphill path.

We didn't go down the hill to get to beach. We just stayed at the uphill, took so many photographs because indeed, we want to cherish this breath-taking view the best we could. I sincerely, can't take my eyes off this beauty that has awed me so much, until this time I'm reminiscing how blue-ish it was.

Until we decided that we had enough, we started to prepare ourselves for next destination, which is Kelingking Beach. The road felt pretty much far away that time, because it was already mid day and we didn't even had our lunch. Yet me and my friends were the only two who didn't wear long sleeves because we thought the trip wouldn't take so much time. Yes, this is me welcoming my tan skin back after I tried hard enough to keep my skin fair, haha.

We did take a stop at this random hill in the middle of our way, to once again, admire the beauty that nature has offered us. Again taking random photos, while resting our tired buttocks because who would've thought that the trip from each destination took longer than the way we expect it to be :'')

Arrived at Kelingking Beach, we directly search for a spot where we could finally have our lunch and rest a bit. Done with our lunch, we continued walking down to the beach entry gate to actually find best spots where we could photograph the famous "Kelingking" shape of the beach.

We didn't go down to the beach because it was already come near the time when we actually had to come back to the harbour where we first arrived, to catch our last speed boat ride for the day. Last speed-boat took off at 17.00 from our harbour, but we were asked had to already stand by at the harbour at 16.00.

It didn't take long for us to stay at Kelingking Beach because my friends told me that we might be got a chance to actually visit one last destination before we got to our harbour. Since the spot were also located on our way to harbour, which is Angel's Billabong. Yes, another famous destination and tourist spot, the famous Angel's Billabong.

I have never intended to get to this place, yet writing it into my itinerary, karena ya namanya juga cuma ngikut orang jadi ya manut aja. But I'm sincerely glad that they actually wanted to go here, that we actually took a moment to stop by at this place even though at last we were in hurry to catch our speed boat haha.

Had our pictures together as the last picture we took here at Angel's Billabong, and to end our trip together today. Angel's Billabong as our last destination. We didn't take much time here since we realized that we still had to be in hurry to arrive at our harbour and catch our last speed boat, or if not, we had to stay the night at this island. Emang sih, kalo mau puas kayaknya emang harus nginep. Secara di Nusa Penida pantai-nya bagus semua. We didn't even get the chance to play at the beach, only admiring it and taking photographs from the upper hill because we know we didn't have enough time.

Even though, it was literally worth it in the end. Alhamdulillah.
